Deb Dormody founded the hand bookbindery If’n Books + Marks, creating and selling distinctive albums, journals, and stationery wares to museum stores and gift galleries; maintaining a full-time artistic practice from 2000 – 2008. From her bindery in Providence, RI, she continues to make select commissions and exhibit her one-of-a-kind works in galleries nationally.

Speaking and presentation engagements have included: Museum of Arts & Design, Fuller Craft Museum, HGTV, Rhode Island School of Design, RISD Museum, University of Connecticut, The Steel Yard, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Maine College of Art, National Arts Marketing Project, American Craft; and a feature in the documentary Handmade Nation by Faythe Levine, and the companion book published by Princeton Architectural Press.
