I zipped out for another field trip – this time to RISD Library’s special collections for a Watts Program talk featuring some Art Nouveau treasures. Visiting Penn State professor Willa Silverman and RISD’s delightful Laurie Whitehill Chong shared interesting tidbits on the style / philosophy which I’d previously had non-feelings about.

The photographs of flowers-positioned-as-patterns, as well as the incredible pochoir printed books were super inspiring. Kookoo!
